You boys have serious abandonment issues, you know that?

Fear of Abandonment & Loss: loosing their family

Nothing says “family” quite like the whole family being dead.

[ Sam and Dean lost their mother when they were children. Since then their father has been traveling around with them, often leaving his sons alone for days, even weeks. After finding Azazel John soon dies. The brother’s grandparents and all other known relatives got killed, too. Bobby Singer, who was like a father to them, gets killed by Dick Roman. Only Sam and Dean remain. ]

Biology’s cruel joke goes something like this: As a teenage body goes through puberty, its circadian rhythm essentially shifts three hours backward. Suddenly, going to bed at nine or ten o’clock at night isn’t just a drag, but close to a biological impossibility. Studies of teenagers around the globe have found that adolescent brains do not start releasing melatonin until around eleven o’clock at night and keep pumping out the hormone well past sunrise. Adults, meanwhile, have little-to-no melatonin in their bodies when they wake up. With all that melatonin surging through their bloodstream, teenagers who are forced to be awake before eight in the morning are often barely alert and want nothing more than to give in to their body’s demands and fall back asleep. Because of the shift in their circadian rhythm, asking a teenager to perform well in a classroom during the early morning is like asking him or her to fly across the country and instantly adjust to the new time zone — and then do the same thing every night, for four years.

Upholding the long Winchester tradition of not knocking.

Starting a new Winchester tradition of coming out of closets.

Continueing the tradition of John not being there when his family needs him

Continuing the family tradition of dying

Sam’s hair, though.

Sam is all startled and ‘what the hell!?’ Meanwhile Dean is like ‘what now?’

September, 1: The Hogwarts Express leaves London from platform 9 ¾ at Kings Cross Station at precisely eleven o’clock in the morning, and arrives at Hogsmeade Station sometime after nightfall. The Sorting ceremony takes place in the Great Hall and the Hogwarts school year starts.

"Excuse me sir, can you tell me where I might find Platform Nine and Three-Quarters?"
